Ever since she was a little girl, Jackie loved horses. At the early age of 2, Janet, Jackie's mother, placed her on a horse; and the love affair continued for the rest of Jackie's life. While friends and cousins were busy playing games, Jackie was riding a horse — not ponies, but full-size horses. By the time she was 5, she was riding some of her mother's large hunter-class horses.
